Thanks to everyone for your guesses about my puzzle dog Skylar. Next up is Bodie, whose proud mom Kathryn is our shelter representative here at the Pet Video office. Kathryn writes:
This is Bodie. I first met him in April of 2004 at an event at the local ballpark
called Bark in the Park. He was one of the dogs up for adoption
through the Humane Society of Pinellas.
I fell in love with him right away, so the next day I went down to the shelter with my other dog to see if they got along. They did, so I took him home and things have been great ever since.
I know Bodie is a pit mix, but I'd always wondered what other breed he is, so I decided to give him a Canine Heritage Breed Test. I've had people ask me if he has Lab or maybe Boxer in him -- what do you think?

When he was at the Humane Society, Bodie was considered a "SPIN," a Special Pet In Need. He'd been at the shelter for almost nine
months and everyone loved him! When I took Bodie home everyone was sad to see
him go, but very excited to know that he had a new home.Bodie and I have been on many adventures in the past four years. His No. 1 favorite thing to do is go out on the boat to the islands to see his other canine buddies!
We go jogging at least three times a week, take long walks every day, and hang out at our local dog park. Bodie loves to explore new places and smells at our river house in Homosassa Springs, FL, and he sometimes joins me for breakfast on Saturday mornings at Einstein's for bagels and coffee. He gets his own special "doggie bagel" -- what a lucky dog!

that dog is soo cute! i think its a pit/lab mix because most mutt labs are black. :D
There are two dogs at the Coastal Humane Society in Brunswick maine that have the same markings. They are Pit Bull/ Lab. That is my opinion.
First of all, this mix is one cutie! I have to say, Bodie is awesome! I think he is definitly part Pit bull .. and .. maybe even Rhodesian Ridgeback. If you look closely at his picture of him in the boat, you can see the famous line, or 'ridge', otherwise known as the fur on the lining of the spine that grows backwards from the rest of the fur. Pitbull/Rhodesian is my guess. Hope it helped!!
Im thinking lab/pitbull mix. You could also ask your local vet and they usually know.
I think he could be part Neapolitan Mastiff.

Given the reliability of those DNA tests, what I'd be more interested in knowing is if you get the same results from different companies. Or even from the same company if submitted more than once.
He is such a pretty dog.... I think he looks like a pitbull/great dane
he looks like my jake! believe it or not, jake is a chihuahua pit mix.
I think he could be a Border Collie/Staffordshire Terrier mix. They are popular in Flyball and he has that body type.
My mom just called me at work to tell me that there was a dog who looked just like mine on the Petfinder website! Oh my Body sure does look like Luke. Luke's origins are a mystery as well right down to that crazy smile! Does his lip go up every once in awhile too? But based on his love of water, love of running and utter good looks I am going to go for a staffy/lab/greyhound mix...which is what I think Luke is too! I couldn't figure out how to add his pics. But the similarity is amazing!

He looks just like my pure bred Pitbull Mertaw.
He is sooo handsome! He looks like my first foster Pit....at first we thought she was a Pit/Lab mix, but we didn't know because she was a stray. Now I think she was all Pit though. They are the best! You're lucky to have such a beautiful boy!!

I see some hunting dog in there- maybe some kind of spaniel or retriever, possibly hound. His eyes are very hound-y. He's a real cutie!
I think he's more likely staffie than pit bull.

It's already been posted, and I missed it when it first came up. I've been looking in every day, but not for the passed two and its up. More of these.
Since its not possible to reliably determine exact breed, but rather breed type, such as dogg, bull breed or moloss, I'll not specify breed but group of dogs in my guess.
This is a tricky one, since so much of the bull breeds traits are dominant.
Apart from the obvious Pit bull or Staffordshire bull terrier, I'd say there's at least one other breed with rose bud ears, since that traits recessive.
If there was any substantial part lab in the mix he'd been much stockier.
Boxer could be part of the mix, but if so Id say only as a very small portion.
The "pit bull" type breed would be a primary, or reoccur several times in the little cuties pedigree.
I'd say a WHIPPET/ GREYHOUND type + PIT BULL cross is the most likely.
looks like he could be full bred pit bull...if not then maybe lab...wow this is a hard one!!!!
