We lost our beloved lab Shadow about two weeks ago,and want to offer another companion a great home.We have a 1acre lot with a 1/4 acre pond.We are also live on the ICW on the river close to Pamlico sound. We were working on getting Shadow a companion, it breaks my heart we were too late.I'm a disabled VET (not totally).I am also a retired industrial,R+D engineer. I would be glad to show , our place as it was largely designed around Shadow. phone 252-964-2683

I think a good veterinarian goes above and beyond the call of duty out of the love of what they do (you should be able to see that in the staff as well). I was recently disappointed in my vet office as I recently got in to an interesting situation and needed their help only to find they seemed to care very little. Keep in mind, I have taken my 2 dogs and both of my parrots there for years as well as a dog that had died of cancer two years ago. One morning I awoke to 5 little kittens on my back patio, the runt was obviously starving and in need of medical care due to it's eyes were nearly shut from what looked like infection. I immediately went the my vets office and told them the situation and that I wanted to purchase some eye salve or clavamox to give this little one a chance. They told me that they could give me no help without a $35.00 office visit on top of the medicine expense. I explained again how I acquired these little fella's in the first place and that I didn't have that kind of money, but I was willing to help this little kitten. They shut me up by saying, "I'm sorry there is no more we can do for you". I was appalled and disappointed. To top it off, they gave me no information at all on how I could someone that might care for them. I still have the five kittens and they all still need homes. I borrowed the medicine from a friend that has a cat to let this little kitten get a start. He/She is fine now and growing no thanks to my vet office. If anyone can help me, please email. I had just lost my pet of 13yrs a month ago. It was so lonely around our apartment and way too quiet so I started looking on Petfinder. I didn't think I was gonna see another dog that I could ever love, but then I ran across the sweet little Pug/Chihuahua named Blossom. She looked so sad and looked like she needed to be held. We arranged for a visit and filled an application. When I held her and looked into those sad brown eyes I knew she was the one. She has been with us for 2 weeks now and we changed her name to Molly and she is a little sweetheart. I don't know what caused her owner to get rid of her, but I want her to know that she has a forever home with us. She is starting to come out of her shell and starting realize that going bye-bye is a great thing for her to do. She trusts us more and more everyday and she even cuddles with us all the time now. I just want each and every day to be great for her and know she will always be loved and very spoiled.
